Seven Projections, 2010
56 x 64 x 57 inches
pigment on polypropylene, wood, and aluminum
In 2005 I was visiting a doctor’s office regularly. After the visits were over I realized that on each visit I had taken a casual photograph of the changing magazines on the table in the waiting room. Seven Projections is made by reconstructing the pyramidal projection of each of these seven photographs looking down onto the coffee table. A composite image of the original photographs of the magazines lies hidden underneath the sculpture’s support, a recreation of the original table.
