Repeat was a vertical format billboard installed near the middle of the Sunset Strip in Los Angeles from April to December of 2006.  The image is composed of a stack of various promotional phrases from other billboards displayed in close proximity at the same time.  These phrases were collected from photographs made at street level just before the printing of the billboard.  I imagine the viewer stuck in traffic seeing these empty statements, once as commercial pitch and then again as a part of my concrete poem.
